Traditional Preparation

1. Fill approximately one-quarter to one-half of a traditional mate cup or gourd with Kharta Khadra Yerba Mate.

2. Tilt the cup slightly so that the leaves gather on one side, then insert the bombilla (filtered metal straw).

3. Add a small amount of cool or room-temperature water to moisten the leaves.

4. Pour in hot water at approximately 70–80°C. Avoid using boiling water.

5. Refill with hot water and enjoy additional infusions according to taste.
